I'm glad to hear that you arrived home safely. Fiji must have been an amazing trip.

Kurstan and I had the most amazing time on our trip to Maui. The wedding went off without a hitch, even though when we arrived at the house that we rented for the occasion there were hurricane strength winds. They died down in just enough time to get the flower circle in a perfect place overlooking the ocean and everything went according to plan. The ceremony was thoughtful and such a happy time for us as well as Kurstan's mom and Jack who seemed pleased with the arrangements as well.

As for the honeymoon, that was a vacation of a lifetime. I have never been as happy as I was on this trip. The hotel was lovely and the service was fantastic. Our room was more spacious than I imagined and the view was breathtaking. The hotel itself was beautiful from the lounges to the restaurants to the pool area to the beach. The beach was the best that we saw on the island.

The sunsets were life changing and we watched them every night from the lounge/restaurant, Ferraro's. Speaking of that restaurant, we ate there twice, one on the night of our wedding then again on our last night in Maui because it was the best dinner out that we had on our entire trip.

Nothing else we did on this trip compared to the Four Seasons be it the views or the service. We spent a lot of time at the pool relaxing, which was truly an experience in itself. We never saw an empty water glass because people came to fill them with ice water before they were half empty. We had lunch almost every day there as well, which was very good too. Additionally, for my birthday, which was while we were vacationing, I spent an hour at the spa getting pampered with a massage. It was the best massage I ever had, and I have had a few. We also went snorkeling at Molokini which was a great way to go for my first time snorkeling. I saw the most unusual sea life. It was a great experience that I'm going to have to try again when I get the opportunity. Overall the trip was the best vacation we have ever been on and hope to return for our 10th anniversary.

Also, Joni, you were so helpful in getting everything arranged with us and Kurstan's mom. It was difficult for us not having ever been to Maui figuring out where to stay and what to do, but you were more than helpful in making this a trip that will be remembered throughout our lives. What a way to start a marriage!

And, thank you for the champagne you sent to our room upon our arrival. It was such a great way to start our trip.

Hi Joni,

As I sit in my Lanai with my arm in the sling I listen to the wind chimes we bought at the open air market. I love to hear them and they bring back all the good memories of a wonderful trip. We also did some shopping at Hilo Hatties and bought matching shirts for the luau we went to.

Big Island Hawaii “Girls” Holiday

Aloha Joni-

The girls had a great time in Hawaii - traveled everyday but still didn't get to see everything on the wish list! Oh well, guess we will just need to go again.

The weather wasn't as nice as Maui - overcast, seemed warmer, and more humidity - so the picture opportunities weren't as good but we didn't care. No tanning, just touring. Hilton Village was the highlight; we should have visited there twice. Most of my pictures were taken there of the canals, birds, dolphins, etc.

The picture forwarded was taken from the sea wall on Ali'i Drive on our last night.
